Teaching Preschooler to Spell Words the Easy way

A preschoolers mind is ever evolving and . The early years, as they say, are the core foundation years. Preschool is an exciting time for parents and the kids as it is during these early years that their literacy skills are evolving , every single day, every single minute.
It is important to keep in mind that when children are three or four years old the process of learning is far more important than the final product. And its is even more important to keep in mind that all kids learn at their own pace, hence competing or comparing can be very off-putting for the young kids.
Learning can be fun, rather it has to be made fun for the toddlers and preschoolers since their ability to concentrate is short lived.
I try and come up with activities that make learning fun, and I hope to make this section of MUM’S SCHOOL ZONE a fantastic experience for you and your kids ( of all ages)
Today we are going to look at how you could use mundane items to teach spellings and words to your preschooler. This is a fun game, and the kids enjoy it!

Heres what you need
Aquarium pebbles
Acrylic paints
Brushes

Ask the kid to pick up 26 pebbles.
Ask him/her to paint them with color of their choices. We used acrylic paints, since they are quite easy to deal with. You could use kid friendly paints, but they wash off in water and fade as well
Once all the pebbles are painted, take a bright color and paint the letters on the pebbles.
Thats it! Put them back in a box once thoroughly dry.
And help your kid learn words, starting with 2 letter and 3 letter words.
Pick 10 new words every week, and see how much they enjoy the game!
