Make Animal bookmarks using Popsicle sticks
I enjoy doing activities with my 3 year old. Other than learning and enhancing cognitive skills, its a great bonding time. We pick an activity or two every weekend . And this week was making bookmarks using ice cream sticks or popsicle sticks.

Mommygyan has tonnes of arts and crafts activities in its archives to do with your kids. Do look at our ARTS AND CRAFTS SECTION for more.I stick to activities, the supplies for which are easily available in India.
These bookmarks are so adorable , and thrifty, I think I am going to make a few more for myself !
Heres what you would need
Popsicle sticks – you could get these at any grocery or department store. Even school stationery stores keep these.
Paints.
Brushes
Glue
Card stock or thick different colored papers.
Method

Decide on which animals you would want to make.
Accordingly ask the kid to paint up the ice cream stick on both the sides in a single color. Once dry, you could make stripes or polka dots in color that goes with the animal of choice.

We made a dinosaur, a cow, a tiger and a dog.
Next I took some card stock and drew and painted up the faces.Be creative come up with ideas your could enhance them.

You could use googly eyes or buttons and ribbons as well to enhance the look.
We were very thrifty so only stuck to what was on hand.
Once the sticks are dry, stick the painted paper heads on top.
Tada , your adorable bookmarks are ready!
